Digital Signal Processing

Digital signal processing (DSP) lab is concerned with the representation of signals as a sequence of numbers and the algorithmic operations carried out on the signals to extract specific information contained in them. The programming language used in this lab is MATLAB, widely used for high-performance numerical computation and visualization. The experiments are designed to teach the student the fundamentals of MATLAB and also the key concepts of DSP. Students study the concepts of basic to practical level DSP techniques. Experiments ranging from elementary level linear convolution, correlation and circular convolution to filter designing filter transformations and spectrum analysis which are conducted using latest MATLAB 2016 licensed tools.
